Obituary of Ronald Stephen

STEPHEN, Ronald Francis (Ron) - Peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Saturday March 30, 2013 in his 82nd year. Son of the late Munro and Frances Stephen. Beloved husband of Marie Stephen (nee James) of 57 years. Loving father of Charlotte (Randy Hawes) of Orillia, Blair of Lake Dalrymple, Bradley (Paula) of Orillia. Cherished Papa of Brian (Kristy) and Drew Hawes; Michael and Christopher (Ali) Stephen; Matthew and Marlissa Stephen. Great-grandfather of Mackenzie, Madison and Owen Stephen. Brother of Glen of Cobourg and Jean (Beaton) (predeceased). Fondly remembered by many other relatives and friends. Lifelong employee for 42 years at Dorr-Oliver-Long (GL&V) as a coremaker. Ron was an active member of the Orillia Racing Pigeon Club for 40+ years, and a volunteer at The Sharing Place Food Bank for 20 years. As per Ron's request, cremation has taken place. Many thanks to the SIMCOE FUNERAL HOME, Orillia ON, for handling the arrangements. A Memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
