We were both saddened to hear of Ron's passing. We often met in the quiet space at the "Hill Top". The neighbourhood won't be the same without the soft cooing and fluttering of his pigeons and the flutter of their circling overhead as they'd come home to roost but most of all we will miss our interesting chats as we solved the problems of the world and the follies of government. Ron had a life long familiarity with the community and the people and was able to provide a perspective only that can bring. He was always soft spoken and wise with a quiet humour. His outlook on the challenges he faced was one of uncommon conviction and he stayed the course for the people he loved - his family - with an admirable outlook and attitude of acceptance. To hold those ideals is a commendable example to us all. Our thoughts and sympathies are with all his family for he will be missed.
