Sad to hear of your passing Mario, I have many memories from working with you back in the 80s in the Watermans Arts Centre in Brentford. Of being arrested with you for assisting attempted murder of your business partner Mike. And many other slightly dodgy shenanigans. Rest easy old friend

Ashley - Words can not express my sorrow for you. I am heartbroken for your loss. There are things death cannot touch and your love for Mario is one of them. I was told once that ‘Grief’ is all the Love that you want to give him but can’t anymore. May his love for you help to carry you through this difficult time. I hope all of your precious memories with him gives you the strength you need. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Kay (Heathers friend)

My brother Mario Danny Cervoni
He was born April 16th 1957 at St Michael hospital Toronto. Died from complications of a stoke March 23rd 2025 in the Orillia hospital. Mario is the youngest of his 2 brothers Robert and Larry and has 2 younger sister Jackie and half sister Jeannine. He has 2 children Calvin and Dana. And his wife of many years Ashley Snow. And his many cousins in Italy and Canada. Predeceased in death by all his aunts and uncles and his father and mother Aldo Cervoni and Gwendolyn Smart/Risch. Mario grew up starting from Toronto to Mississauga to Italy and then as a very young adult went out on his own. Leaving behind the troubles of the family. Family life was very difficult in those days. Too much for a young Mario to deal with. He went on to living in England to Toronto and GTA to Belize to Western Canada and finally back to Ontario. He just seemed to love to travel and has been to so many places. Never knowing where he was going to go next. From a young age he loved to cook and built a career out of his passion of cooking becoming a chief and opening several restaurants / Pizzeria. Just opening his last restaurant Mario Meatballs with his wife Ashley. Almost all who tasted his cooking just loved it. He just had a way of knowing how to make it taste good. I remember most of his cooking as Italian but he did make so many other dishes. He also had his own catering company which many of the family members helped /worked at. Other then food Mario did try some other jobs but it wasn't for him. Those jobs never lasted. There are many stories with him and many adventures - I'm sure many I don't know. He lived the life he wanted and created. He'll be deeply missed by all his cousins and family and those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and his friends, colleagues, and the many patrons who enjoyed his food. And I'm sure if his early family life was different life would have been different for him. Now you get to be with your dad and mom. I'm grateful that you never had to suffer at the end - a little too soon in life to leave.
Rest in peace, brother
Larry

Very sorry to all the family of Mario. Nice man. His restaurant in Woodville was just getting going and picking up speed. It is a great spot! He will be sadly missed.

While I don't have many memories of Mario, he was my father and the reason I'm here, he always used to say to me, I love you more than the whole wide world, at the end of every phone call, one thing I'll always remember.
The pic is my first day at school, one memory I'll have forever, I wish things could of been different, and I'm sorry we never got to share any memories together but either way I'll always love you and I hope you are up above looking down on us all.
