Obituary of Tor Gunnarson

Gunnarson, Tor 1928-2025 Passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Born in Sweden, Tor made Canada his home 71 years ago, embracing its culture and language while keeping Swedish Christmas traditions alive-complete with festive ham, the Helan Gǻr drinking song, and warm gatherings of family and friends. Known for his sharp wit, kindness, and social nature, Tor loved fishing (especially eating fish), golf nature, and most of all, his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Marguerite, he leaves behind his children Torbjorn, Judy, Jeff, and Chris; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Please raise a glass to a wonderful man who lived fully and left peacefully. Cremation has taken place; a private burial will follow.
