Dear Andy, we have just learned of the sad loss of your beloved wife & partner Bev and feel much grief on your behalf, as well as our own sadness. You two were such a pair, your happy marriage an inspiration. Both Eric and I are sharing your sorrow now, he especially as he's been your friend -- and Bev's -- for a good long time, and I have just been getting to know you ... I am especially sad now as I thought I had lots of time to get to know Bev better... what I did know was that she was always so warm and welcoming, whenever we'd meet -- we had begun to share stories about our lives, usually with lots of laughter. I will always remember her, especially her wonderful smile -- and especially too her brave spirit and strong desire to come through whatever she had to come through, to stay alive... Eric is grieving with you but sadly we cannot be at the Celebration of Life on Friday -- he's in BC with his family, and I'm in Toronto with mine. But when he's back in May, we would like to see you then... and you can tell me some of Bev's stories I didn't get to hear from her. Please know that we are with you even though you won't see us for a few weeks.
