Kate and I taught Dave’s grandson Riley for 2 years and often chatted with him. Dave was a kind, loving and dedicated grandpa. We often shared a laugh when he would pick up the kids and his love and commitment to them was evident. We were both so sorry to hear of his passing and send our love to the family. We are thinking of all of you.

Dave and I coached the Midland Flyers together for three years. The last two years I was unable to keep coaching as other life priorities took shape. Not a year went by when he was calling me asking me to come coach again. I won’t forget the very long conversations we would have about hockey and life. He was like another father figure and mentor at times. He was an incredible coach and a better man. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Sorry to hear about David's passing. I grew up with David in Oro Station and went to Guthrie Public School and Eastview together. David was an amazing hockey player (Athlete) in Oro and was a caring, kind and loving individual.

I remember Dave from his minor hockey days in Oro Township. Such a gifted hockey player, and a lovely person. Condolences to his family, his friends, and the Midland hockey community. He will be missed.
