Dear Patty and all the family, I was sad to learn this news. I did not know Norman, but I sense that he was dear to your hearts. Someone who struggled somewhat, but held his head high and persisted in getting around, reading and living his life in his own quiet way. I wish I had met him; someone who loves the library is a star in my eyes! Perhaps the Orillia public library could add a plaque to his favourite chair. It sounds like Norman might have been the library’s most frequent client!! I hope you all have some touching or funny Norman stories to remember him by, and to lighten your mood when you feel his loss. A laugh is good for the soul, and no disrespect to your brother. Norman’s parents (Norm and Jean) were good friends with my parents (George and Anne St.Germain). I seen Norman downtown of Orillia. I offer him my late sister Sally’s walker. He declined:( The next thing I see, Norman is with a walker. I was glad to see that:) I am so sorry Robby and Families for the loss of your Dear Brother Norman. So sorry to hear of Norm’s passing. He was a great friend to my brother Scott. We often saw Norm walking the streets of Orillia. Will miss seeing him out and about.
