Obituary of Trudy Sharon Balko

Balko, Trudy Sharon Trudy Sharon Balko (68) (nee. Cooper), passed away at her home in Oro-Medonte on May 22, 2025. A beloved wife, devoted mother, admiring grandmother, and cherished friend, Trudy valued connection with those she loved. From small family lunches, to raging bonfires with friends, Trudy delighted in having her people near. She cherished togetherness, fostered closeness, and nurtured bonds. Trudy appreciated nature. She enjoyed walking the forest trails of the family property with her dogs. She was fond of feeding and watching birds, especially the swarms of hummingbirds that travelled to her feeders en mass, arriving every Mothers Day. Her greatest joy was her family, of whom she was very proud: her exceptionally hilarious and supportive husband Eduard (69), her nearly as humorous and always earnest sons Tyler (43) and Jayden (40), their ever patient spouses Marina (41) and Carly (39), and of course, her very cherished, dynamic grandchildren; Avery (20), Maddison (11) and Mikayla (9). Trudy’s wishes did not include formal services. She prefers to be remembered with laughter and love. As such, a ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held in her honour.
