Obituary of Mike Sheridan

Sheridan, Michael Allan “Mike” 1957 – 2025 With deep sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Mike Sheridan, age 67, a devoted husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend. Mike passed away peacefully on May 21st, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was a man of strength—strong in body, strong in spirit, and strong in heart. He was big and tough on the outside, but those who knew him best knew the gentle soul behind the strength. He had a quick wit and a warm laugh, always ready with a joke to lighten the moment or a kind word to lift someone up. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sheridan, and their five children: Melissa May, Tamara (Ryan) Spurr, Randy (Mhai) Potter, Jacob Potter, Troy Sheridan. He was a deeply proud grandfather to Joshua, Noy, Ava, Lexus, who were the light of his life, and is also survived by his mother, Violet Sheridan, who cherished him deeply. Mike was patient, understanding, and ever-present for his family. No matter how busy life got, he always made time to listen, to offer advice, or just to be there when someone needed him. He led by example—teaching through his actions what it meant to be generous, dependable, and loving. He would give the shirt off his back without a second thought, because that’s just who he was. Mike's legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the laughter he shared, and the many lives he touched. He was the heart of his family, a rock for his friends, and a steady hand in a world that often needed one. In accordance with the family's wishes, a private graveside service will be held for immediate family only. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time. Arrangements entrusted to Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E., Orillia (705) 327 0221. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
