Obituary of Dave Gill

Gill, Ralph John “David” August 1st, 1946 ~ June 19th, 2025 Passed away peacefully in Orillia on Thursday June 19th, 2025, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Marlene Gill (nee Doyle). Loving father of Ryan and the late Trevor Gill. Proud grandfather of Alyssa, Owen, and survived by their mother Katie Gill. Dear brother of Peter Gill (late Pat), Mardee Budd (Bruce) – both predeceased, and brother-in-law of the late Barry Doyle (Helen) and Sandra St. Thomas. Cherished son of the late William and Margaret Gill. Dave was a dedicated employee of Ideal Supply until his retirement after 40 years. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E., Orillia on Saturday June 28th, 2025, from 1:00 till 3:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation.
