Obituary of Marie Duprey

Duprey, Natalie “Marie” June 19th, 1932~ June 22nd, 2025 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Marie Duprey at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on June 22nd, 2025, at the age of 93. Devoted wife of the late Alphonse (Al) Duprey. Loving mother of Michael Duprey (Julie) and Carol Komaromi (Kurt). Cherished grandmother of Katherine (Sean) David, Ryan (Megan), Emily and great grandmother of Weston. Predeceased by her siblings John, Jannina, and Michael. Marie will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and many friends. Marie was one of a kind. Her good nature and positive attitude brightened every room she entered. She had a great sense of humour and made everyone laugh with her stories, and there were many. She was a friend to everyone, and the world was a better place with her in it. Marie was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church for many years and was a devoted follower of Christ. Although we miss her terribly already, we know she is reunited with her husband Al and is rejoicing in heaven. For the past 4 years Marie has been living at the Sundial Retirement Residence. We can’t say enough about the wonderful, caring and supportive staff who took such good care of her. We also appreciate the caring nurses and staff at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital who provided care these past few days. Special thanks to Doctors Ho and Daniels. The family would also like to acknowledge Marie’s devoted friends June and Bill Fyvie and Debra Wiancko for their love and support of her, especially over the past five years. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street East Orillia on Thursday June 26th, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday June 27th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
