STRACHAN, Michael Andrew “Mike”

Passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital, Langley, British Columbia on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the age of 66. Mike was born on November 18, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario to Sylvia “Kim” Lundgren (nee Strachan) and Andrew Strachan (predeceased). He was raised by Albert and Mary Sheppard (both predeceased). Also predeceased by his Grandparents, Hanya “Baba” and Michael “Dido” Klapkin. Mike will be dearly missed by his loving sister, Andrea Landriault (Paul), “big” brother Ed Sheppard, young brother Duffy and by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his “big” sister Marie Thompson and “big” brother Jim Page. He will be deeply missed by his long-time friend Eve and his beautiful cat “Misty” (Langley, B.C.) Mike attended Ardtree P.S. and Park Street C.I. after moving to Cumberland Beach from Toronto and then moved out West where he spent most of his life. He was a proud man who really wanted to be better, do better and live a better life but he had many obstacles and struggles throughout his whole life… Mike, your struggles are now over and you can R.I.P. Mike had a gentle and quiet disposition. He was always kind and had a heart of gold, always lending a helpful hand to whoever needed it. He was very talented with his hands, always fixing things that needed repairing and was very good at woodworking. He enjoyed music very much and one of his favourite songs was “Strawberry Fields Forever” by the Beatles. Cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
