Obituary of Ernie Eastcott

Eastcott Ernest Seymour It is with great sadness that the family of Ernest “Ernie” Eastcott announce his passing on Saturday August 16th, 2025 in his 73rd year. Ernie was born in Orillia and is predeceased by his parents Howard and Lila Eastcott. Beloved husband of Barbara Eastcott (nee McCarthy) for 52 years. Loving father of Barbi Bennett (Bob), Michael Eastcott (Melissa), Maureen Misner (Dave), and Mark Eastcott (Judy). Cherished grandfather of Dillon, Shyla (Ryan), Nicolas, Gavin, Jacob, Hannah and great grandfather of Gigi. Dear brother of Alvin Eastcott, Edith Williston, Ruth Mitchell, May Eastcott, Verva Smith, Lloyd Eastcott, Earl Eastcott, and Bruce Eastcott. Predeceased by his siblings Margaret Black, Eileen Dunbar, Leonard Eastcott and June Hill, and Ken Eastcott. Ernie will be missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, and the Dalrymple community. A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at the Carden Community Center, 258 Lake Dalrymple Road on September 6th, 2025 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters or to a charity of your choice through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E.
