Obituary of Doreen Brown

Brown Inez “Doreen” Passed away peacefully at Spencer House in Orillia on Sunday September 14th, 2025 at the age of 94. Daughter of the late Velma and Maurice Hoey, she was predeceased by her sister, Joan Howell. Loving mother of Erin Butash (Tom), Laurie Heron (Greg), and Scott Brown (Mary Beth). Doreen will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Doreen will forever be remembered for her joy, energy and commitment in all she did with her family and friends, for her career and especially for her church. The family would like to thank the staff at Spencer House for the wonderful warm care that Doreen received. Visitation will be held at the Christian Fellowship Chapel, 1296 Cambrian Road in Severn, on Friday, September 26th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
