I was lucky to have met Dollie at Susan’s house in Orillia. She was independent and a spitfire, I’m sure that she was a force to be reckoned with her in her younger years. She was always very kind and loved to socialize.
I know that she touched the Gibb’s hearts and was a special person in Susan’s life.
It was a privilege to heave met her .

Aunt Dollie had such a kind heart. She was always smiling and just happy to be with you. So many great memories of her growing up. She taught me drive her convertible before I was 16, lots of visits to Ontario, fashion shows with her hats, and just so much love. She was blessed to have been able to live the last year of her life with joy and love. She will be missed. Love Tara

Aunt Dollie was a lovely, kind and generous soul. She shared her unique perspectives with all who had the privilege of knowing her, I especially loved her upside down Christmas tree. Her wisdom and insight will live in on in all who were blessed to have shared a piece of her life. She lived her life as she chose to and she will be missed by many. Friends Neil and Glenda Bower

Aunt Dollie was a force! When I finished Teachers College I wanted to travel but had no money. Aunt Dollie said “no problem”. She sourced out a Canadian Nanny agency that sent Nannie’s to London England. I wrote them and they offered me an interview in Guelph Ontario. She called her sister, my aunt Miriam who agreed to take me to the interview. I had a great visit with her, learned how to make a perfect cup of coffee with a pour over cone. Aunt Dollie organized a poker game with all my uncles and raised enough money for my flight. She was a problem solver! Thankful for Stephen, Liz and Susan who did do much for her in her later years!

Aunt Dollie was a big part of our family in Ontario. She always made us smile and many of our memories were of Mum and Aunt Dollie having a good laugh and great time together. She helped raise my siblings and took great care of Grammie Toole. Susan, we are so appreciative of all you’ve done for Aunt Dollie, making her last year the best for her. She will always be remembered as that Special Aunt.

We, the Gibb family, were honoured to have Aunt Dollie join our family in Orillia last year. We had a few adventures, lots of laughs, morning coffee on the deck in the sunshine and visits with family and friends. Brian, Sarah, Jacob, Argo (her constant companion, especially at the table) loved her greatly and will miss her dearly. Thank you to my cousins for their love and support. Aunt Dollie was a kind and generous lady. She lived, loved and died on her own terms. I will miss her but never forget all I learned from her. xo S
