Obituary of Terry Lee Hamilton

Hamilton, Terry Lee It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Stepfather, friend and family member. Though words cannot fully express the sorrow we feel, we find comfort in remembering a life well-lived and a spirit that touched so many. Celebrating a Life Terry, aged 74, peacefully departed this life on September 24, 2025 surrounded by family. Born on August 18,1951 , known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support to all who knew him. Terry devoted most of his life to entertaining guests in the casino industry for over 30 years, the majority of which at Casino Rama. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, warmth, and the countless memories shared with loved ones. Beloved Family Terry was cherished by stepdaughters Bonnie Grosu, Angela (Dave) Melrose and Kathy Kennedy as well as grandchildren Jonathan Orprecio, Xander Grosu, Zachary & Jules Melrose, Dennis and Kayla Scott. Terry is survived by his cherished sister Debra Miller Pallick, many nieces and nephews which he cherished, and friends who will miss him dearly. Terry was preceded in death by wife Alice, Parents Lorne Hamilton & Margaret Castle Hamilton, siblings Gordon Landis , Betty Landis Jackson , Dave McCain (Tanya), Richard Hamilton (Rosemary), Devon Hamilton, and Val Hummel. A Lasting Legacy As one friend said, “In a room full of people you always knew when he was there with his distinguishable laugh and love of storytelling.” The legacy Terry leaves behind is one of love, compassion, and strength. He spent his life in the service of others always eager to help out where needed. He loved to garden, go road tripping, play with his dogs, collect unique knives, tell stories and bring a smile to everyone who shared time with him. In his honour, let us remember to always have a sense of humour and cherish each day by keeping our loved ones close. Funeral Arrangements As per Terry’s final wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal services will be held. If you wish to make a donation to an animal rescue group in his name, he would be honoured.
