Edward Robert (Bob) James McPherson

July 20, 1943 – October 17, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Robert (Bob) James McPherson at his home in Lake Dalrymple, Ontario, on October 17, 2025, at the age of 82.

Bob was born on July 20, 1943, in Victoria, British Columbia. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Elizabeth McPherson (née Speed), his daughter Kathryn Gravelle (husband David), and his son Andrew Robert McPherson. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Sean Robert O’Connor (wife Morgan) and Ava Elizabeth Gravelle, who brought him great joy.

Bob is predeceased by his brother Danny McPherson (wife Audrey) and is lovingly remembered by his brother Alec McPherson (wife Barbara).

Throughout his life, Bob was a hardworking family man, known for his loyalty, gentle nature, and soft-spoken warmth. He was loved by all who knew him. Bob enjoyed the simple pleasures of life — time spent fishing, hunting, and playing cards — often with a glass of wine in hand and a good story to share.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. Family and friends are invited to remember him in their own way, wherever they find peace.

Bob will be remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
