Dear Stephen, Chris, Geoff and Kim,
I'm so sorry to hear your mom has died. Thinking of her brings back so many good memories of being your neighbours for 20 years on Penetang St. I was a young mom, and your mom was the one I went to for advice about a sick child, whether someone needed stitches, how to get hundred splinters out of the hands of a kid who'd tried climbing a fraying plastic rope -- and she knew what to do! She was always warm hearted, welcoming, and had a great laugh. And I had so many good chats with your dad, too, and we were lucky to have four of you next door of babysitting age. Chris, I think you take the award on that score. I'm very sorry I wasn't able to come on Saturday and see you all again. Anderson is recovering from surgery, and I couldn't get away. I hope you have felt surrounded by family and friends and are feeling comforted. Anderson joins me in sending our sincere condolences.
