Obituary of Donald George Smith

Smith, Donald George Passed away peacefully at Lake Simcoe Retirement Residence, Orillia on Sunday November 30th, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (nee Briggs). Loving father of David Smith (Cheryl Hammond), Mark Smith (Dawn), Sherri-Lyn Smith (Edward Cleaveley), and Michelle Wallace (Les). Proud grandfather of Cameron (Sarah), Liam (Maggie), Ronnie, Mamie (Tom), Memphis (Shawn), Heidi, Sylver (Pat), Melanie, and Mandy. Cherished great grandfather of Michael, Evelyn, Bud, Loretta, Dixie, Ember, Howie, Miller, Damem, and a little one on the way. Dear brother of Phillip (Patricia), Betty Deschamps (Larry), Tom (Rene), and Kenneth (Jean)-both predeceased. Don will be lovingly remembered by his many family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Monday December 8th, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 9th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. followed by reception.
