She was born in Montreal, Quebec on July 24, 1947, and raised in Nova Scotia. She is survived by her children Alyson (Jeremy), Kendra, & Luke (Holly) and her very loved grandchildren, Sara, Andrew, Riley, & Morgan. Diane is predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Lloyd, who was her best friend and the love of her life. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Margaret Jamison, Robert MacKinnon, Rose Junkert, Loretta D’Angelo, Mary Olson, Ronald MacKinnon, and several nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many friends and extended family, whom she loved and valued spending her time with. After moving from Fort Frances, Ontario, Lloyd and Diane chose to settle in the Orillia area to raise their family. Most of her career was spent working in the medical field and she was an active volunteer throughout her life within the community. Diane was loved by all who knew her, and her home was always open to those who needed friendship, advice, or just a hug and a warm cup of tea. While our hearts are broken and her loss deeply felt, we know she is in a better place and finally reunited with her soul mate, Lloyd. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Simcoe Funeral Home in Orillia on Saturday January 17, 2026, with visitation from 12-2pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm. Cremation has taken place; interment at a later date in Brantford, Ontario.
