Obituary of Anne Clare Hack
Hack, Anne Clare (1933–2025)
Passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday December 19th, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in East Gwillimbury Ontario, predeceased by her parents William and Gertrude Metherall. Beloved wife of the late Donald Hack (2023). Loving mother to Darold (Lynne), Paisley (Charlie), Candace (Steph), and Valerie (late Randy). Cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and proud great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.
Anne will be lovingly remembered as a dear sister to Jim (Cindy) – both predeceased, Walt (Judy), and as a caring sister-in-law to Terry (Gail) and Roger. Predeceased by Glen, Merv, Clint, Herb, Fay, Verna, Ben, and Lloyd. She was a favourite “Auntie Anne” to many nieces and nephews. Anne was a longtime and treasured friend to her “Queen of Spades” card ladies. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the Emergency Department and 4th Floor staff for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Anne during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E Orillia (705) 327-0221.
