To the Shepherd family, especially Stacy and Joe, We are so sorry for your loss of husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great- grandfather! What a remarkable life he lived, a life that all of you will remember fondly. We regret that we were unable to attend his celebration of life, as we had family here, but know our thoughts and prayers are with you now, and as you navigate the future without him! Earl has always been a terrific neighbour to us here on Glenrest Beach. I first met Earl when he walked his dog "Molly" by our cottage. When asked how he he was doing, his answer was usually "well, I'm still on this side of the dirt", and then we'd laugh! Earl has a lovely sense of humour, and he could always make me smile.
