Tauno had a lot of great stories from a life lived well. He spoke of early days, his mother getting food ready, leaving Finland in 1917. World war II, Finland and Russia, his uncle in the middle of it. He spoke of living and working in Orillia, and still making the trip to Toronto every weekend. Being with family was very important to him, he do his best to get there. And when the weatherwas bad, he would head out anyway, stopping at the Westway for a favorite dish. He knew the owner and chef there, and ordered off menu, liver and onions. Good food, a good man making a good family. We remember, always.
