Obituary of Jim Mathews

Mathews, James David “Jim” Passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Wednesday February 4th, 2026 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Judy Mathews (nee Thompson). Loving father of Laurie Mathews and Lee Anne Mathews (Brad). Cherished grandfather of Dakota, Jacob, and Jordyn. Dear brother of Shirley Anne (Terry) and brother-in-law to David – predeceased (Darlene), Nancy (Brad), Greg (Debbie), Virginia, Stuart – predeceased, Grant, and Shannon (Andy). Loved son of the late David Mathews and Elaine LaBarr (nee Lavallee), and son in law of Jackie and the late Morley Thompson. Jim will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
