Obituary of Lynn Dianne Wells

Wells, Lynn Dianne It is with great sadness that the family of Lynn Wells announces her sudden passing on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on February 8, 1951, in Orillia, Ontario, Lynn was a creative, compassionate, and resilient woman whose life was shaped by care—for people, for animals, and for the planet. A registered nurse by profession, Lynn spent many years caring for others with warmth and attentiveness. Later, she continued this work through her own foot care business, where her gentle touch, listening ear, and sincere interest in her clients made them feel comfortable and valued. Lynn had a deep respect for nature and lived thoughtfully and intentionally, always doing her part to care for the environment. A gifted gardener, animal lover, vintage collector, and coffee aficionado, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Lynn will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sarah Wells (Jeremy Ford); her beloved granddaughter, Cedar Ford; her sister, Janet Doolittle; her two cherished fur babies, Molly and Smudge; and the many family members and friends who were fortunate to know her. Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Carman and Ivor Doolittle, and her husband, Richard Wells. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held later this year. Memorial donations may be made in Lynn’s name to the Comfie Cat Shelter or The Couchiching Conservancy, through Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia (705) 327-0221.
