Obituary of Bill Osborne

Osborne, (Bill) Willard Passed away peacefully at his home in Orillia with family by his side on Tuesday February 24th, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Conway) for over 60 years. Loving father of James (Jim) and his wife Jillian. Very proud grandfather of Matthew and Brooke. Bill lived a long and happy life filled with hard work, strong opinions and great stories. Bill was a kind and generous man who always put the needs of others — especially his family — before his own. He never met a stranger he wouldn’t talk to and more often than not, he would find a shared hometown, a mutual friend, or some small thread that tied their stories together. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Bill is predeceased by his siblings Rose Forsman (Einar), Lloyd (Gussie), Phoebe Young (George), Edward (Mary), Mildred Warren (Cliff), James, Hilda, Walter and Bob (survived by Ferne). He is also predeceased by his brother-in-law Ted Conway and sister-in-law Anne Corrigan. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time but a Celebration of Life will happen in the Spring.
