Obituary of Dorothy Anne Patterson

PATTERSON, Dorothy Anne Passed away peacefully with family by her side at home on Wednesday March 25th, 2026, at the age of 88. Dorothy was born in Thora township and predeceased by her parents Russell and Margorie Francis. Beloved wife of Allan for 68 years. Devoted mother to Cheryl Mullin (John) and Brian (predeceased). Cherished grandmother of Joshua (Jessie) and Jessica (Tyler). Great Grandmother of Wyatt and Raegan Elliott and George and Penelope Mullin. She will be greatly missed by her sister Shirley Moore (Peter), brother Allan (predeceased) Elaine and sister Lois (predeceased) Clare and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy spent many years working for the Orillia Association for the Handicapped and Sears. She and Allan enjoyed camping, fishing in Algonquin Park with their grandkids and spending countless hours being entertained by their great grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lai and the visiting nurses and PSWs who cared for Dorothy and the loving support of Rev Linda Patton-Cowie will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E. Orillia on Sunday April 19th, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
