We are all so saddened by the loss of a truly special lady. Lee always made us feel like part of her family. We will miss her smile, her laugh, her stories, her zest for life and her love for everyone around her.

It seems like yesterday that a bunch of moms gathered for an hour each week to pray for our kids that attended Mount Slaven Public school. Remembering her well and the passion she had. May it help to know that she is gone but not forgotten.

My deepest sympathies to Rick and the Wassell family. Lee was a special person who has left fond memories. Many of us will remember her through hockey stories as she inspired many women to lace up and play in mid- life.

I remember Lee as a very special friend from her time in kitimat when she and her family lived there we were very close friends and when she moved back to Ontario I was devastated. We never stopped keeping in touch with old fashioned letters and pictures by mail. I still have pictures of her and Rick’s wedding and of Alicia and Brett as they grew up. Knowing her she still has pictures that I sent to her. Last year we were going to try to get together but she was in BC when I was in Ontario. I am so sad that we couldn’t get together but I know that she had an amazing life with her family and pray for her eternal soul and for her family that they may find peace in the knowledge that she is at peace.
