Obituary of Lillian June Carruthers

Carruthers, Lillian June Passed away peacefully at the Birchmere Retirement Residence, Orillia on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at the age of 89. Lillian was born in Toronto and predeceased by her parents, Victor and Elsie Wilbee. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Carruthers (2025) for 70 years. Devoted and loving Mother to Bonnie Carruthers (predeceased), Terry Carruthers (predeceased), Gary Carruthers and Lori Carruthers. Cherished Grandmother “Nana” of Brett, Ashley, Kyle, Scott, and Sarah Carruthers; Great Grandmother of Gordon, Ava, and Lincoln Carruthers. Dear Sister of Joan Wilbee, Betty Cookman, Margaret Schulz, Jean Peterson, Linda Rogers (all predeceased), Brenda Young, Victor Wilbee, Daleen Lovering, and half brother Glenn MacDonald. Lillian will be deeply missed by Anna Marie (Vern Bignell), family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception and interment at Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery.
