Obituary of Allan Cameron Duncan

Duncan, Allan Cameron (13 January 1947 – 25 September 2023) Cam passed away in Orillia on Monday September 25th, 2023 at the age of 76. Predeceased by his wife (Edna) Joyce Duncan (nee Hughes), father Al and mother Cleone. Loving father to Rob (Stephannie) and Arleigh (Nigel), and adoring grandparent to Mira, Liam, Julia, Benjamin, Maya and McKenna. Dear brother to Alana, Kerrie, Scott, Iain, and late siblings Bryan (Skip), Keith and Lesilee. Born in Winnipeg, MB, he and his family moved to Edmonton, AB eventually settling in Kenora, ON. Never one to pass on a joke, he tormented friends, family and innocent bystanders alike, up to and including the staff at the Leacock Care Centre who cared for him the last year and a half. His moustached smirk was often the only indication that you might, in fact, be the object of ridicule. A king of crosswords and master of (useless) trivia, his decades old Mensa card was still stuck to his wallet, right next to the M&M meat card. Before moving north, Cam enjoyed golfing at Centennial Park in Etobicoke where he raised his family and lived for nearly 40 years. There is no formal service, and a celebration of life will be held Saturday October 21 from 2pm to 5pm at the Canadiana Restaurant, one of his neighbourhood spots. (5230 Dundas St. West, Toronto) In lieu of flowers, a donation to Feed Ontario would be welcome. https://feedontario.ca/take-action/donate/ Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca Simcoe Funeral Home, Orillia 705-327-0221.
