I first met Claire in 2005 the Christian Horizons group home that she had lived in. She had a special way of making people smile. She was caring and considerate, she would always ask about how your loved ones were doing, and ask you how you were feeling if you had been ill, and she would never forget a birthday. Claire loved to playfully tease and laugh with others. A lovely treat was a note from Claire stating you were a mop head, a lazy bones or an old goat. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends now. We will miss you Claire, you have made a lasting impact on our lives. I will remember the lesson you have taught me to keep things light and don't forget to laugh, and to care for others. Thank-you for being you it was a pleasure to have you be a part of my life.

Dear Nancy and family,
I only knew Claire for about 2 years; however she touched my heart in a deep way. I will always remember how she would ask about my chickens and sing me "Mary had a little lamb". I loved to hear her laugh and her smile was so beautiful. Blessings of Peace to all of you during this time.
Sincerely,
Mary Barkey ("DSW"support worker for Claire)

Dear Nancy and family:
It was an honour and my pleasure to know and care for Claire.
I will never forget the first time we met and will always be grateful for the impact she's had on my life. She was a sweet woman with a great sense of humour. She loved her family and put nothing else before them.
My prayers are with you as you go through this sad time.
