At the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 10th, 2012 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Benedict and the late Roy Vivian. Much loved mother of Melville Martin (Lorraine) of Kingston, Florence (John Joliceour) of Hope BC, Gloria Mahoney (Earl-predeceased) of Simcoe, Marcella (Lorne) Verbrugge of Ingersoll, Lila Hiltz (David-predeceased) of Calgary AB, Josephine (Jim Howie) of Guelph, Adele Waite (predeceased), Harold Benedict of Toronto, Sylvia Benedict of Orillia, Wanda (Albert Short) of Orillia, Helen Benedict of Orillia and Cindy Lou (predeceased). Grandmother and great-grandmother of many. Dear sister of Louella, Florella, Fanny May and the late John, Paul, Arnold, Margaret Beatrice, Clinton, Norman Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E, Orillia on Wednesday May 16th from 12 noon until time of funeral services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
