Obituary of Shirley Vansickle

At the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Sunday May 13th, 2012 in her 78th year. Shirley Vansickle of Orillia beloved wife of the late Alvin (Sam) Vansickle and the late Murray Larson. Much loved mother of Judy (Don Dussault) of Fonthill, Barry Larson (Brenda) of Brechin and Sherry Telford of Orillia. Loving stepmom to Ken Vansickle (Ellen) and their daughter Ashley of Orillia. Loving grandmother of Krista Telford (Andrew Thomson), Michael Telford, Matt and Adam Dussault, Michelle and Dakota. Great grandmother of Alisha and Parker Thomson. Dear sister of Bill Bell(Bonnie) of Port Perry, Sheila Thornton (Murray-predeceased) of Parry Sound, Allan Bell (Faye) of Coldwater, Garry Bell (Barb) of Orillia and Gerald Bell (Joan) of Parry Sound. Shirley worked for over twenty years as a Diamond Setter for Boyles Industries in Orillia. She also provided loving daycare for many children in the Orillia area. Shirley acted as a second mom to many Orillia Terriers hockey players. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home-38 James Street E. Orillia on Tuesday May 15th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday May 16th at 10 a.m. Memorial donations to the Ontario Lung Association would be appreciated.
