Obituary of Robert John Desjardine
Desjardine: “Bob” Robert John
Or as we affectionately called him “Bummer”
It is with heavy hearts we write that Bummer passed away with his “Better half” and loving family by his side on November 30th, 2017 in his 75th year.
Bummers “Better Half” of 51 years, Anne (Van Den Hoogen), his 2 princesses Wendy (Livie) and Yvonne (Smith), his favourite son in law Paul Smith, his 3 favourite grandsons Robbie, Tyler and Ryan and his best great grandson James, will always remember Bummer for his greatest passion- playing the guitar and singing. His musial career started as “Little Bobby-the singiest cowboy sensation” which led him to a TV appearance on CKVR. Bummer will also be remembered by his many neices and nephews and the many friends he made while playing in local bands and jam sessions. As he leaves behind some of his biggest fans, Bob will now be playing for his “other” fans --Pappy, Marj, Ruth and of course his biggest fan Gertrude his mom. A celebration of Bummer’s life will be held at the Army, Navy and Air Force Club- 74 Victoria Street Orillia on Saturday December 9th 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m.
