I’m so sorry to all her family! I know first hand what a great mom she is, because she raised an amazing daughter, Lisa! Only spent a few times with Teresa, but could tell she was a kind hearted person and those kind of people are the most missed! Love are the wonderful memory pictures! She was a beautiful lady! My Nanny,
She was the hostess who could do it all. She loved us with everything she had and that was evident every Christmas at 20+ person family suppers she seemed to whip out of nowhere... I’d spend hours watching her in the kitchen baking pies and making our family favourite cherry cheesecake, the recipe she taught me when I was 9 or 10 & have since continued to make from memory...
My brother Brent & myself fondly distinguished her from our other grandmothers and dubbed her our “Nanny Pizza” due to the Tops in Pizza store she owned and operated, employing my mom and her sister when in need of jobs.
Spending nights playing with my cousins out at Nanny and Late Papa George’s trailers were the absolute best things to look forward to during the long hot summers. We would fish and swim while Nanny sat on the beach chatting with other campground guests. She was easy to talk to and made friends quickly, be it neighbours or co-workers.
Nanny loved more than anything though, the moments she had us all together. She was stubborn and stern but amazingly sweet and good to all her grandchildren. She didn’t easily anger and was unwaveringly dedicated to the family of her children’s father. Of whom she was closest to was Pat. They shared a sisterhood and a deep respect of one another as the years went on even after Nanny separated from Pat’s brother (my Grandfather).
None of us girls would get dressed on Christmas Day until Nanny arrived every year with the perfect dress for each of us. Nanny was a fashionista and had a keen eye for what each of us as individuals liked and preferred. It was always the best, no matter what other clothing we had received as gifts that year. I always wondered how she did it and felt a pang of sorrow that everything else that came after just couldn’t measure up to this beautiful article of clothing.
Nanny taught me to appreciate beautiful things and how to care for such items. Purchasing my first velvet jewelry box when I was 9 and gifting it to me for my birthday. She taught me to use appropriate stemware and the discipline of hard work. How to shine silver and to keep stoneware from soap to avoid your future supper from tasting of suds.
Knowing she is gone emotionally rips me apart, losing her so quickly with her being so young feels like a repeated slap. Holding on to the knowledge that she is no longer suffering brings my heart some peace.
You’ll live forever my Nanny Pizza, having coffee in my heart with my Nanny Metcalfe.

My mother-in-law, Terry, was a fantastic person. She was extremely generous in many ways. She welcomed my family as if they were hers. Always had a kind word to say. I will truly miss her. She was an inspiration and overcame many difficulties to live a full and honorable life.

My Mother...she was so loving, generous, and kind. She was the first to congratulate when achievements occurred, the first to console and wipe my tears when things just didn't seem fair. Mom was always the first person I called when happy or sad. She touched a lot of lives. I know that many will miss her but none as much as me.

Terry was the most wonderful kind hearted person ever born. She truly cared about family. She has been in my life for 53 years and we love her and will miss her every day! I was honored to be with her in her last moments. We listened to some of her favorite songs until she drifted to sleep. She will be so missed by my children Garry and Heather Harrigan and her Great nephews Tyttin Gage and Jase and my husband Joe Tryon Love you!
