At her home Oro-Medonte, with family at her side, on Friday January 12th 2018 in her 78th year. Gladys DesBarres (nee Murphy), beloved wife of Lester Thomas (Les) DesBarres of 45 years. Much loved mother of Terry (Cindy), Brenda MacDougall (Neil) and David (Shaina). Loving grandmother of five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Walter and Marie Murphy. Dear sister of Doreen Murphy, Raymond Murphy, George Murphy (Nancy), Michael Murphy (Nancy), Rosemarie Legassick (Rick) and the late Maureen Kanary and Patrick Murphy.
A celebration of Gladys’s life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James Street East Orillia on Saturday February 17th from 1 to 3 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Orillia OSPCA would be appreciated.
