Obituary of John Greenlaw

Greenlaw: John (Jack) Norman Peacefully with his wife at his bedside at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Centre, Barrie on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 in his 93rd year. Jack Greenlaw of Orillia, beloved husband of Dorothy Greenlaw and the late Eleanor Greenlaw (nee Howlett). Dear brother of Irene Watson of Leaside and Lyle and Harold, both pre-deceased. Dear brother in law of Eveline Greenlaw. Uncle to Hal (Pam), Pat (John), Jim (Ruth), Jan (Ron). and Joy (Brian). He will be greatly missed by family and many friends and loved and inspired by all. Jack was past president of the Alzheimer's Society of NE Simcoe County. He was an aeronautical engineer with the Ferry Command in 1944. He was past president of the Recreational Aircraft Association. He was also a member of the Orillia Rotary Club and lifetime member of the Probus Club and a long-time volunteer at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jack's life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E, Orillia on Wednesday, July 11th from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of NE Simcoe County or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
