Passed away peacefully at age 93 with family at his side on Sunday July 1st 2018. Beloved husband of 70 years to Carola Luise Theis (nee Biermann). Beloved father to Rolf-Jochen-predeceased (Elizabeth), Carlotta Jennings (Rod) and Peter Theis. Much loved grandfather to Lesley Bogle (Scott), Karen Theis (Kevin), Jeanette Grant (Kurt) and Scott (Allison). Dear great grandfather to Mercedes, Andrew, Owen, Jude, Callan and Caryss. Former employee of Leitz Canada-Midland and Carveth Limited Scarborough. Principle of JT Camera Repair Limited Scarborough. A service to celebrate Joachim’s life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Monday July 9th at 2 p.m. A reception and time of visitation will follow.
