vanderVeen: Leah (nee deHaan) "Gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour" Peacefully at the Trillium Manor Orillia with family at her side on Monday June 25th, 2012 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Klaas (Clarence) vanderVeen and the late Tjeerd (Jack) deHaan. Loving mother of Cor deHaan (Christine) of Coldwater, Nell (Siep Bergsma) of Orillia and Anne deHaan (Garnet Dilworth) of Midland. Loving oma, beppe and grandmother of Codey, Justin, Jamie, John, Chris, Hilary and Ryland. Great grandmother of Harly and Jaxson. Dear sister of Tine Wesseling of the Netherlands, Jim (Jaap) Strikwerda (Ann) of Newcastle, Jim (Yeme) Strikwerda (Sandra) of Ajax and the late Anna Taekema, Lisa Strikwerda and Bob (Rommert) Strikwerda. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. A special remembrance by the vanderVeen family. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Thursday June 28th from 7 to 9pm. and on Friday June 29th, at the First Christian Reformed Church-50 Fittons Road West Orillia from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment St. Andrew St. James Cemetery.
