Wall: William Russell

At Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday August 15th, 2018 in his 93rd year. Beloved Husband of the late Leola Wall.

Loving father of David Wall (Maureen), Lynda Ziegler (Paul), Barbara Wall (pre-deceased), John Wall, Karen Shaw (Brian), Katharine Vanderboon (Henk), Jennifer Millar (Steve). 

Proud grandfather of Jodi-Lyn, Erin, Brandt, Kristin (pre-deceased), Rebecca, Ryan, Steven, Chantal, Hailey, Dana, Greg, Billy, Jill, Jodi, John and Great Grandfather to many. William will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. William was a very loving husband and father who lived life to the fullest.  Life was always an adventure. William was a proud veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and served with honour and distinction during the Second World War in Defence of Canada and the shared values of freedom, democracy and the rule of law.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Oak Terrace for their excellent care and compassion as well as to the staff of the Simcoe Funeral Home for their assistance during this time.

Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Tuesday August 21st from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery in Washago.

As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital or SickKids Foundation. Messages of condolences are also welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
