Tom was my first boss at my first job (Sundial), where I worked for approximately five years. He set a very fine example to me as to how a supervisor should manage his staff. Many of my friends from Orillia who still I keep contact worked there as well, and whenever we reminiscence about our days at "the Dial", Tom is inevitably brought up, as well as a collection of the choicest phrases he would employ to motivate us dishwashers to work faster.
Tom will be sorely missed by the many people (a very large group of young Orillians) who he has positively influenced throughout his impressive career. I offer his friends and family my very deepest condolences.

Heaven has gained another angel. It makes us smile to know he’s not alone. Tom will be reunited with his brothers Bill and Ronnie, his grandson David and our son Ryan! I know he will tell them how much we love and miss them here! Sending love and light to Janet and Lori and their families! One thing we know for sure is that the meals in Heaven are gonna be awesome! We will be missing you always!

Sad to hear of Tom's passing. I started working at the sundial at age 13 and stayed for 9 years. I quickly learned how to get a wry smile from Tom, even when he was in a stressful moment or telling the dishwashers "my grandmother works faster than you!". He was my favourite character in the whole place and I'll not forget him. Hope the family and joey are OK.

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.
