Obituary of Barbara Bird

Bird: Barbara May It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara May Bird (nee Millard), in her 83rd year, on Monday July 30th, 2012. Beloved wife of the late William Alexander Gardiner Bird. She is survived by her brothers David (Win), James (Nancy), and the late Robert (Marlene), and Ken Millard and their families. Barbara is the cherished mother of Debbie (John), Carol (Lee), Ted (Lori), Michael (Sharon), Linda (Bob), Brenda (Michael), Robin (Patti), Leslie, Bill (Janet), Steven (Rena) and her adopted daughter Wendy Cook. She was very proud of her 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. We wish to extend a sincere thank you to the nursing staff on Soldiers' 2 and to Dr. Mitchell for their kindness and compassion shown to our entire family. As per her wishes Barbara will be cremated. Friends may call at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Thursday August 2, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
