It is heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Goodwin Goerk, peacefully at home in Orillia, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday June 9^th 2019 at the age of 68. Paul was born in Orillia to the late Harvey and Marjorie Goerk. Beloved husband of Kathy Goerk 'Hun Bun' (nee Cross). Loving father of ‘our children’ Howard Goerk (Anastasia), Shauna Vollick (Dave), Chris Goerk (Janice), Paul Mathew Goerk, Cherity Goerk, (Marco), Jamie Armstrong (Sheena), David Armstrong (Cora), Sherry Armstrong (Sean).  Proud grandfather of Joshua, Samantha (Lance), Kirsty (Chris), Kingston, Courtney, Taylor, Ryan, Ashley, Dylin, Ali, Vicky, Chloe, Caitlin, Brandon, Bowie (Q), Cody, Ryker, Caly, Raina. Koby and Owen.  Great grandfather of Madden, Natalie, Kage and Shophia. Dear brother of Keith Goerk-predeceased, brother in law of Bob Cross (Connie), Janet Lancaster (Al), Joey Cross. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his mother in law Jane Cross ‘Momzie’ and the late Doug Cross also by his many family and friends. Paul was a devoted daddy to Sweetie and Butchie.  The family wish to extend a special thanks to Dr. Kristen Farn and all the staff at Bayshore Home Health Care for their wonderful care.  A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at the Moose Lodge, 6 Kitchener Street Orillia on Sunday July 7^th 2019 from 1-4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the OSPCA Orillia Branch, or to the Salvation Army through the Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James St E Orillia ON.
