George was a gentleman, a thought full person and a man of integrity. He was a quiet man, not prone to long loud boastful phrases, but when he did speak you where made to be a better person for listening.I learned from George and I thank Kathleen and George for allowing me to be a part of their lives. He is now at rest, free from pain and suffering and will be missed. As did many others, I loved George. As a tribute to George I suggest that you tell those that you love your feelings for them.

My wife plays fiddle and I'm an old time square dance caller. We got to know George through mutual attendance at many old time music jams/dances.
Found him to be a real gentleman.
We extend our condolences to Kathleen and the family.

George will always be remembered by me as one great man. There was no other person in my life that I had greater respect for. George was a mentor, teacher, supporter, and tremendous role model. He had great wisdom and experience he was willing to share with you if you asked. George was a legend wherever he worked. He worked extremely hard and expected you to do the same. There was great satisfaction in that. He taught me more about life than he would ever know.
On the way to a jobsite one day, George pulled off the highway when we met a funeral procession. He took his hard hat off and set it on his lap as the cars went by. He taught me a lesson about respect that day without saying a word. I never forgot it.
My sincere condolences to the entire Davy family.

Dear and Family....I can not say how sad I am to hear of George's passing. He was a true gentleman and a real person. He was someone who deserved the respect that he recieved. I am going to tell you of a recall of mine. George had a motorbike and my Dad wanted to have a ride on a bike. So says George hop on the back and off he went. I guess he was thinking Dad was on the oneup seat cause up the road he flew. He got almost to the hiway when he realization of him being the only rider ( no passenger ) brought him to a screeching halt. He turned his bike around and headed back to Uncle Stan's' who was still standing in his driveway'; waiting for his bike ride. A good chuckle all round and no more ride requests. For me awesome memory. Rest in George You will be missed.
