Obituary of Gordon Banks

Banks, Charles Gordon Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Friday, August 30th 2012 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Shirley Banks (nee Ferguson). Loving father of Doug (Carmen) Banks, Lorriane (Peter) Maxwell-Coghlin, Joan (Mike) Gardave, Catherine (Paul) Choquette, Terry (Stacey) Banks, Phillip Banks, Stephen Banks, Joanne McKersey, Lynn (Vid) Gustain, Leah (Mike) Belanger and Lisa Cardinell. Proud grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Pearl and his sisters Marion Bragg and Joan Vento. Born in Brantford in 1930. Charles was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 and past president for 8 years of the ANAF, unit 400. Friends may call at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia Ontario on Friday, August 31st, from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday September 1st, at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Orillia OSPCA.
