My deepest condolences to Gord's family. I had the pleasure of working with Gord early in my career and he was such a wealth of knowledge about the grocery industry! He was always positive and had a smile for everyone he met. He will deeply missed by all who knew him.

Gord was one of the first grocery industry personalities I met when I joined Canadian Grocer magazine and we quickly became friends. That's a friendship that lasted the entire 42 years I've been at the magazine. A truly great guy. My sincere condolences to his family.

Gordon Joyce will be missed by all the Associates Members Council (AMC) past and current members. Gordon will always be remembered as a founding member and the first Chair of the AMC of the Canadian Foundation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) - HOnor the Past and Adapt the Future.
