Schandlen, Marie Christena

Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Tuesday November 5^th, 2019 in her 85^th year. Marie was born in Orillia to the late James and Mary Woodrow, she taught school in the Coldwater and Orillia area for over 36 years. Marie was also a longtime and active member of Willis Presbyterian Church, Jarratt.  Beloved wife of the late Walter Schandlen for 56 years. Loving mother of Roger (Jennifer), and Steve (Lynn). Proud  grandmother of Jacob (Mallorie), Adam (Sydney), Lauren, Carley, Alexander; great grandmother of Hunter and Merrick. Dear sister of Donald (Carolyn),Margaret-deceased (Allard-deceased), Jean (Howard), and Alice (Bruce-deceased). Marie will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia on Friday November 8^th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Willis Presbyterian Church (Jarratt), 3265 Line 10 N Coldwater on Saturday November 9^th 2019 at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to World Vision.
