Donations have been made in memory of Bruce Harper, to the Canadian CDJ Research facility at University of Alberta in Edmonton Alberta, by Cheryl Cartmill Harper's friends in the Orillia Girly Book Club. It is the Canadian Centre For Prions and Protein Folding Diseases of which Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is one. It is with deepest sympathy and caring for Cheryl, her family, Bruce's family, and all friends. Sorry for your loss.

Bruce was a good man and a Great Scouter - also my cell mate when, with our Scouts, we stayed at the old Ottawa jailhouse. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Bruce was a gentleman and hard-working colleague, quick to smile or crack a joke while maintaining his professionalism. He helped show me the ropes when I joined the Transportation team back in 2010 and I will always be grateful for his guidance. My sincere condolences to the Harper family. Rest in peace Bruce.

On behalf of Bruce’s team at CTC, I pass along our deepest sympathies to Cheryl and the family. We are absolutely devastated by the loss of our leader, our friend, member of our CTC family. We had the honour of working for a great manager that lead with integrity, passion, kindness and a great sense of humour.
