Our deepest sympathy to the Hannan Family. Fr. Hannan was an amazing person. Whether he came to dinner or popped in for a visit to have tea and crumpets he had a great impact on our entire family. Our children still recall his many visits and treasure the memories. Rest in peace Father, you deserve your reward now.

We were very sorry to hear that Father Hannan had died. He was a very kind person who officiated many weddings and baptisms for our family while he was at St. James in Colgan. It was also great to see him when he came back to the parish for funerals after he had left the area. You will be remembered as a truly faithful servant. Our deepest sympathies to the Hannan family.

What a wonderful person and priest. We were so blessed that he was able to return to St. James to bless our wedding ceremony.
Many fond memories of a great man.

To all the Hannan Family:
I am so very sorry to hear of Father Hannan's passing. I'm sorry too,I wasn't able to reach
him on the phone this past Christmas, there was no answer. Perhaps he was already living at
Providence House here in Toronto. I sure would have gone to see him these past few months,he
wasn't far away.
Lots of good memories of Fr.Frank, like, when he first arrived in Colgan in 1982,one of
the first babies he baptised at St.James, was our daughter Shannon, making sure her big
brother Timmy was the alter server helping him out that day. Meant alot. He would always drop
by after the baptism or a first communion to visit, if he could. On those days, he was in big
demand was Fr.Francis Hannan.
Or,seeing him at an Eagan cornroast, driving one of the farm tractors, taking all the kids
for a ride on a haywagon around the field, then seeing him enjoying himself around the
bonfire
with all the parishioners who came.
Or, him helping out at the annual cemetery bee,and enjoying a cold beverage with all the men
at breaktime. He was indeed involved in the parish.
Or, seeing him on the front steps of St. James Church, pacing back and forth, reading his prayerbook, and no doubt praying too. He was a good man and a good pastor.
I'm sure we will all get together as soon as we can to celebrate Fr.Francis Hannan.
God bless him and all of you too.
Sincere Condolences to all

I remember Fr. Hannan as the first priest I knew when he was at St. Mark's with Fr. Gerald Cochrane. I seem to remember he wasn't the greatest singer but he sure was good to us kids. My first airplane ride was as an altar server which he arranged for us. WOW. I've often thought of him.

Fr. Frank married Marie and I in 1969 at St. John's Church on Kingston Rd. At the time I was a young police officer and Fr. Frank told me I would not have to take marriage instruction as I have witnessed a fair bit of life already on the force. Last Christmas at a party for our retired priests my Marie and I had the great pleasure of meeting Fr. Frank and his wonderful sister. We had a wonderful conversation and some good laughs. Our heart felt condolences to Fr. Frank's family.

So very sorry to hear of Father Hannan’s passing. He was such a wonderful priest in our parish community of St James, St Francis and St Mary’s for many years. We were married by him in 1984 and my husband converted to Catholicism a few years later, inspired by Father Hannan. We will always remember his kindness, service and spiritual guidance. We at Rod Abrams Funeral Home Tottenham are saddened to hear of the passing of Fr. Hannan.
We worked closely with him during his time at St. James, St. Francis, and St. Mary’s. We remember the many families he served and the care he gave to the parish communities. Many times after evening prayers at the funeral home, he would sit and visit with us, or make a special visit to the attached apartment to visit my mother for some tea, and desserts. Our sincere condolences to his family. Rest well Father, your work on earth is done.
Sincerely,
Rod and Sue Abrams, Family, and Staff

My deepest condolences to the Family. Fr. Hannan introduced me to become an Eucharistic Minister at St. James Colgan, and my son Eric was an Altar Boy who looked up to Fr. Hannan and loved him. Fr. Hannan also married my husband and I in St. James Colgan, after special circumstances which only was possible to do with his help. I am sure he went straight up to Heaven, and although he is physically gone from this earth he will remain in my heart forever. Rest in peace, and it is comforting to know there is one more Angel up in Heaven looking after us.
Respectfully,
Beatriz Baumfeld and Family.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Fr Frank. He will remain forever young to us. We knew Fr Frank from all his years at St James in Colgan. Our children grew up with Fr Frank as a special person in their lives. He would drop in our house when going by sometimes for a short visit, sometimes to read to our son. Fr advised me with his wisdom, he genuinely loved us and we loved him. At that time he drove the school bus with our son right beside him. Fr was fun and always there for us.
Fr Frank was absolute in his faith and like a lighthouse he was a steady light to guide you back home. He deserves to return to his Fathers house where he will hear, ‘Well done, oh good and faithful servant’.
All the members of his family must be so grateful to have had Father as their own. He truly was a great man.
Rest Father Frank.
