After courageously fighting the good fight with cancer for the last 3-1/2 years, Patricia passed peacefully at the Ruby Jean House in Orillia on Thursday, November 10th, 2011 in her 70th year. Much loved daughter of George and Dorothy Sophie of Orillia. Dear sister of Judith Sophie and her husband Ian Sinclair of Maple and the late Bryan Sophie. Loving sister-in-law of Shirley Sophie of Orillia and Shirley Simpson of Lagoon City. Remembered by nephews Neal Christopher, Darren Christopher, Brent Sophie, Craig Sophie and Ryan Pace and niece Jennifer Pace and great niece and nephews Brooke Sophie, Kyle Sophie and Oliver Pace. Pat attended Notre Dame High School in Toronto and was crowned "Miss Notre Dame" in 1959. In the early 1960's, Pat began a career in computers. She has always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Pat has valued her independence and freedom and has remained single all her life. She has enjoyed a rich life of travel, having toured Great Britain, Europe, Morocco, USA, Hawaii, Brazil, Peru, Turkey, Greece and USSR. Pat has lived in Toronto, Vancouver, Florida, California, Montreal and Mexico. Celebration of Mass for Christian Burial will be held at Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 115 West St N, Orillia on Saturday, November 26th 11 a.m. Refreshments and fellowship to follow.
